Chanel Topshop Guerlian White Company

For those of you who have followed me from the beginning, you will know I started this blog to capture my journey following a Paleo lifestyle and record how it has helped me live and improve my life with an autoimmune disease.

A place I can record and share my latest Paleo recipe inventions and make new like minded friends. I also want this blog to be a portal for my creative side, somewhere I can share a snapshot of all the things running through my mind at any one time.

Whether these thoughts be food, fashion, health & well-being or just completely random snippets of life. So here it is…a look at what has captured my attention, made me lust after or just something I want to share with you all.

PALEOinheels | Chanel No5 L'EAU

Chanel No5 L’eau – WOW, have you smelt this? It’s amazing. It is Chanel No5 but for a new, younger generation. I’m obsessed. If you want to smell expensive & decadent then this is for you. A lighter version of the original, with citrusy notes, it should be on everyones Christmas list. It’s on mine!

Topshop Embroidered Scribble Jeans

Topshop’s Embroidered Scribble Jeans – How cute are these? I’m going to pick some up tomorrow at the Oxford Street store and pair them with a cashmere jumper. I’ll team them with some Isabel Marant ankle boots for a casual weekday look and some heels for the weekend. (I’m also in love with the Gucci Belt. Santa, if you are reading this then…hello)!

PaleoinHeels.com Esteban Aroma Diffuser White Company

The White Company Fragrance & Esteban Aroma Diffuser – Ever since Lydia Millen voiced her love for aroma diffusers, I’ve wanted one. I recently purchased the Esteban diffuser from John Lewis along with the Fir Berry room fragrance spray form The White Company for the autumn months and the Winter spray for the Christmas countdown. Seriously, the diffuser & fragrance have changed my world. My home smells amazing. both fragrances have quite literally captured the smell of both seasons in a bottle. This diffuser literally makes the home smell like home.

Guerlain Parure Gold Foundation

Guerlain Parure Gold Radiance Foundation -OK so I’m of the opinion that once the temperature drops and the chilled winter air feels like it is slapping you in the face, a winter foundation is in order. As someone who doesn’t wear a lot of makeup I don’t want anything heavy but I do want to look a little bit like I have a Snapchat filter on but without being caked in a liquid cream. Step up Guerlian Parure Gold foundation. Possibly the best foundation I have ever used. Absolutely beautiful. The coverage is full but without being heavy, It forces your skin to glow like you have just been hooked up to a vitamin IV drip. Honestly, it isn’t cheap but I would probably not eat for a day or too to purchase this.

PALEOinheels.com |Getting Ready For Christmas

Getting ready for Christmas – Those of you who know me will know without doubt, Christmas is my favourite time of year. Until a few months ago I couldn’t tell you what that feeling conjured up inside me however, those clever Danes have coined it…Hygge! Yes, I’m knee deep in the feeling of cosy nights around a log fire drinking creme brûlée hot chocolate and making lists for santa. All whilst dreaming about what colours our Christmas tree theme should be this year.

PALEOinheels.com | Chocolate Berry & Baobab Protein Smoothie

Chocolate, Berry & Baobab Protein Smoothie

6th November 2016

PALEOinheels.com | Chocolate Berry & Baobab Protein Smoothie

Happy weekend gorgeous,

I hope yours has been full of sparkles. Whether that’s in the firework form or a glass or two of Champagne! Mine has been sprinkled with Aduna’s organic Baobab sachets. I’ve been putting them in my smoothies, sprinkling them onto my dairy free yoghurt and even stirring them into my morning ritual of warm water with a squeeze of lemon juice.

If you haven’t tried Baobab powder before, you’re missing out. It’s a fabulous source of vitamin C (four times the amount of an orange), which is a great immune boosting ingredient. Perfect to ward off sneezes and sniffles at this time of year. It’s also high in fibre and has more antioxidants than any other fruit. Not to mention it tastes great. Hard to describe but if I had to, I would say…tart, zesty sour, with a hint of citrus and a tiny amount of sweet.

Lay your hands on some of this superfood powerhouse powder and make my delicious antioxidant packed Chocolate, Berry & Vanilla smoothie.

For more information about Aduna’s Baobab Powder click here.

Ingredients:

  • 100g Frozen blueberries

PALEOinheels Leopard Print Crush

Loving Leopard Print & How to Wear It

30th October 2016

PALEOinheels Leopard Print Crush

Hey Beautiful People,

OK so I know this is not a fashion blog but it’s my blog and I absolutely love fashion. It’s also a diary of my Paleo journey and since fashion is a huge part of my life, its a part of my journey. Anyway, now I have justified this post I want to shout about how much I’m loving Leopard print right now. So, I’m not about to wear it head to toe as that would be silly but I have just bought this amazing Leopard print coat from Topshop (I sincerely hope my husband doesn’t read this!) I cannot wait to wear it.

Topshop Leopard Coat

Topshop £85.00

I’m thinking of cocooning this little sweetie around me to keep me warm at our local Guy Fawkes celebrations this Saturday. Paired with some skinny jeans, a creamy soft cashmere cowl neck jumper and some hunter wellies (we will be in a field!). I may even take a little hip flask of Sipsmith Sloe Gin to keep me warm 🙂

So, back to my love of Leopard, how on earth can you not love these pieces? I mean seriously I could think of so many ways to incorporate each and every piece into my wardrobe.

Topshop Pony Skin Skirt £295

Topshop Pony Skin Skirt £295

I have a very similar skirt which I wear to the office with a black cashmere crew neck jumper, thick black tights when its cold and my Isabel Marant Andrew boots.

I’ll be wearing these with my black leather leggings/skintight trousers and black boyfriend fit jumper, sleeves pushed up and some gold jewellery. Perfect for Friday night cocktails after work.

I could pretty much wear this with everything, dressed up or down. Running out to grab coffee but just as perfect for date night, with huge lashes, black eyeliner and a nude lip.

J Crew Cardigan £49

J Crew Cardigan £49

I have this cardigan, its soft and slim fitting. I wear it with skinny jeans and a black silk & lace camisole. Perfect for house party drinks or lunch with friends.

There so are many other things, such as Leopard print loafers, a skinny belt, dresses at Topshop etc. No matter what you fancy, there is bound to be a little bit of Leopard print that is just perfect for you.

So what are you waiting for, get out there and treat yourself.

PALEOinheels Whats in my head

Inside My Head…No3

24th October 2016

PALEOinheels Whats in my head

Inside My Head No3 PALEOinheels

Girl Crushes – I have admired Barbara Martelo & Emmanuelle Alt for some time. I mean have you seen these women? Their style is just incredible. As I’m transitioning my wardrobe over for AW, I look to places like Pinterest for inspiration and cannot help but lust after everything they wear. Both so stylish, they make even the most simplest of outfits look so curated.

Lydia Elise Millen

Lydia Elise Millen – Carrying on with girl crushes I’m just obsessed with this beauty. I’ve followed Lydia on Instagram for ages but recently I subscribed to her YouTube channel & Blog. I’m hooked! Such a pretty person inside & out. I love how we much we have in common therefore I’m loving everything she posts about. She’s very open, funny and has amazing style. She has inspired me on so many occasions, I find myself eager for the next post. I’ve convinced my husband to follow her boyfriend and even dabbled in a nude lip which I have to say, I love 🙂  If you are not following her, you’re missing out.

Paleo Slow Cooked Meals

Slow Cooker Recipes – What more can I say? The temperature has dropped, the nights are longer and I’m craving delicious slow cooked meats. Searching through recipes, I came across the Wicked Spatula. You have to check out her recipes. So far I have tried three, and every single one has just been spot on delicious. I have the Apple, Cinnamon & Honey Pork Fillet cooking as I type and the general Tso’s chicken is better than any takeaway.

white Company Winter Aroma

Made By Zen – Aroma diffusers. I recently saw the Soto diffuser on one of Lydia Millen’s video posts and ever since then I have really wanted one. I’m a huge fan of scents around the home, especially at this time of year. I always have scented candles burning or various room sprays. The problem is good scented candles are expensive and room spray scents do not last long not to mention it’s relatively difficult to find quality natural products . I think I’m going to add this to my christmas wish list. It has Christmas gift written all over it. I’ll also add the White Companies Winter Oil to the list for the smell of Christmas in a bottle!

Red Eyeshadow

Red Eyeshadow – I know, red right? But trust me it looks amazing. I wondered into MAC on my lunch break and asked them to demo it for me. I was blown away. I went to purchase it there and then but its been so popular it had sold out. Gutted. I received so many compliments that day, I’ll definitely be buying some when its back.
